I received four 1/43rd scale FG Falcon V8 Supercars from Apex recently, and I must say, they’re pretty good! left to right: Alex Davison #18 “Jeldwen” FPR Ford David Reynolds #55 “Bottle-O” FPR Ford Tim Blanchard #17 “Wilson Security” DJR Ford Chaz Mostert #12 “Wilson Security” DJR Ford They’re resin with quite low production numbers – 408 for Reynolds & Davison, 360 for Mostert (if Mostert’s stock keeps rising, this one could be hard to come by in future years) and 312 for Blanchard. Price is $70 each direct fromRead More
Portuguese manufacturer Onyx marketed a range of 1:43 scale Indycars in the early to mid 1990s. The models were very basic – plastic base plate, 1-piece diecast body, plus plastic driver, rear wing, suspension, rubber tyres and metal axles. About time I got back to building Tamiya 1:20 F1s! I’ve owned this kit (#20006) for some time and planned a standard out-of-the-box build. This model has been re-released under number 20064 and from what I hear the newer one is better with improved tyres and numerous photo-etched parts. Having said that, my kit is not the very first release either, as it has Cartograf decals (I’ve read the original release didn’t use this brand??).
