It’s Christmas time and lots of toy cars will be received as gifts on the 25th. Here are some of the toy cars I ‘enhanced’ as I began my interest in scale models many years ago.

I haven’t had time to do any serious modelling recently, but I did get to apply the tobacco decals to this trio of F1 cars.

The popularity of the Formula E series for electric open-wheel race cars continues to increase, so much so that Spark has announced a range of models from the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Apex Replicas has announced the pending production of two famous Bathurst 1000 winners in 1/43 scale – Peter Brock’s Torana GTR XU-1 from 1972, plus the Dick Johnson/John Bowe Ford Sierra from 1989.

ARMCO model cars / Models56 has ceased production. This is sad news as the boutique Aussie brand produced some fantastic 1:43 scale models of interesting subjects.
