Organisers of the 2015 Diecast Model Expo have announced the next “exclusive Expo model” will be of Scott McLaughlin’s GRM Volvo S60 from the 2014 Australian Grand Prix meeting.
Apex Replicas will produce a metal model in 1:18 scale that will have a sealed body. Only 400 will be produced. A 1:43 scale version will also be available. The ‘Expo release price’ will be $160 for the 1:18 and $79.99 for the 1:43.
After the “gave it some jandal” episode at the opening round at Clipsal, the team produced a special livery (check out the roof!) for Scott at the next event – the AGP. It is this car that the models will depict, which was also GRM’s first win with the new car.
As Scott McLaughlin will be attending this years Expo, demand for these pieces is expected to be high.
(Scott will attend on Saturday 26th September for an autograph/photo session in the main expo room. Participants will need their registration ticket to access this room.)
