Brock tribute car from Models56

Models56 have distributed some images of their new 1/43 scale Peter Brock tribute car. The 1/43 scale resin Austin A30 is in plain white and features Brock’s name and famous 05 number in barely visible fashion. Classic Carlectables April-June Newsletter

A number of 1:18 announcements are contained in the latest Classic Carlectables newsletter, #60 April-June 2015. The company plans a run of 1000 Jamie Whincup Red Dust Darwin BA Falcons from 2008!?! Classics’ Jan-Mar 2015 Newsletter

Classic Carlectables today published their January-March 2015 (issue #59) Newsletter. It’s full of 1:18 scale news; road and race cars, including Brock, Skaife and even a taxi! But the only 1/43 is content is the Red Bull ‘Camouflage’ car #888 that Craig Lowndes & Steven Richards raced at Bathurst this year


Brock Bathurst VN Commodore SS Group A

Peter Brock’s 1991 Bathurst ride, the VN Group A SS Commodore, is coming from Biante in 1:43 scale. The Mobil sponsored car he shared with Andrew Miedecke in the Great Race is due for release in quarter 1, 2015. There will also be a ‘Durif Red’ road going VN SS Group A released at the same time. Both VNs have a RRP of $77. Other updates from Biante are below, including the 4-door A9X Brock drove on just the one occasion, at Sandown in 1978.

Fixing Biante’s VR/VS V8 Supercar

Who the hell at Biante signed these off as OK for final production?! When compared to the earlier VX/VY/VZ Commodore V8 Supercars, the Biante VR/VS models look terrible. Yes, the finish is excellent. Yes, the decoration is fine. Yes, the interior is well detailed. And yes, even the underside looks ok. But the skinny-track wheels tucked in far too narrow under the bodywork make these models, which would otherwise look superb, look ridiculous.
