V8s Galore!

FG-X Falcon V8 Supercars from Apex, plus the Nissans and a Volvo, released at the end of last year.

With factories going bust in China (or whatever the reason was), there has not been much in the way of 1:43 V8 Supercar models for the past couple of years. Well, that’s all changed in 2016! Both Apex and Biante have been busy churning out multiple releases over the past 6 months or so. Apex Vs Biante The models from both manufacturers are, generally, pretty darn good. One could argue the Apex models are a little more refined and detailed, however several of the pieces I’ve bought are let downRead More

New Stuff From Top Gear (Trax) & Biante

Top Gear’s July product brochure There are some decent models in here I’d like to buy, but Top Gear have priced themselves out of my market, eg: the yellow Des West FX #27. Trax produced a previous FX of West’s a few years back (in diecast), but this resin one is now twice the price! Why not just use the existing mould? HRT Gems from Biante

Two versions of HRT’s 2015 VF Commodore V8 Supercars have hit the market – the pre-season test car in matte black, and the Clipsal 500 race version, for both drivers (James Courtney and Garth Tander). These are 1:43 scale diecast, RRP $59.95 and a Limited Edition of 1008 pieces of each.

HRT Star Wars Racers

Holden Racing Team’s special “Star Wars” Bathurst 2015 liveries have been modeled by Biante. 1:43 scale versions broke cover at Mount Panorama across the weekend of the 1000. In a deal arranged some time prior to the event, the cars featured the liveries created to promote the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. However, with James Courtney’s injury and Russell Ingall climbing aboard for the weekend, the #22 is inaccurate for the race. So, Biante Marketing Department is calling these Bathurst “Launch” versions. Both will be done in 1:18Read More

Noons & JC For Diecast Expo

Expo organisers have announce two more special guests, courtesy of Biante Model Cars, for the 2015 Diecast Model Expo – James Courtney and the V8 Slueth, Aaron Noonan. James Courtney, Holden Racing Team James Courtney had a stella start to his driving career winning in karts and open wheelers leading him on the path to a Formula one drive with the Jaguar F1 team. A huge crash from a rear wing failure at Monza while testing, left Courtney seriously hurt. Restarting his driving career in Japan, Courtney was soon backRead More
