Authentic Collectables scored a lucky coup in 2017, holding the contract to produce models for Erebus Motorsport which happened to win that year’s Bathurst 1000. I’ve just received my 1:43 version. But I’m not happy.

I haven’t had time to do any serious modelling recently, but I did get to apply the tobacco decals to this trio of F1 cars.

Apex Replicas has announced the pending production of two famous Bathurst 1000 winners in 1/43 scale – Peter Brock’s Torana GTR XU-1 from 1972, plus the Dick Johnson/John Bowe Ford Sierra from 1989.

ARMCO model cars / Models56 has ceased production. This is sad news as the boutique Aussie brand produced some fantastic 1:43 scale models of interesting subjects.
