Founded by Trevor and Bev Young in the 90s, the Perth-based business has been owned by HGL Limited for the past 10 years. It has now been purchased by collectables company Downies.

We have a very special announcement and wanted to reach out to let you, our valued collectors, know that Biante has changed ownership.
After a decade under the guidance and direction of HGL Limited, Biante has now been brought into the Downies family. A collectables company with 85 years of distinguished service in the coin, banknote and stamp industry, Downies believes in the traditional values, quality and integrity that all collectors hold dear. They are thus perfectly placed to further build on Biante’s market-leading presence.

Biante has always believed that our strength is our customers, and Downies is no different. After all, without you, we wouldn’t have the chance to enjoy this wonderful hobby!
We want you to know that as this new relationship grows into the future, the bond we share with you will be even more of a priority for us. We remain committed to creating the products you want, and providing a level of service and support of which we can all be proud.
To provide another level of comfort, there are no major changes planned. The core Biante team in Perth will still handle the day-to-day operations of the business, and the improved warehousing will still function out of the east coast. We will, however, be seeking all feedback on where we can improve our services. We already have a substantial list, but your opinions matter the most. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any suggestions.
Onto the models themselves, the current Biante team are working hard to bring some highly requested new projects to life, and we can’t wait to announce these in due course. We also have passionate new members joining our team very soon, so there are some exciting times ahead.
Our motto has always been “Run by collectors, for collectors”, however we can now proudly say “Run by collectors, for collectors, now owned by collectors”.
We are truly looking forward to what the future holds and can’t wait to share it with you.
