I’ve just won my first trophy for model building – and it was rather unexpected!
It was very much a last minute decision to throw one of my builds into the competition side of the Australian Model Expo, officially the 2024 Australian Open Plastic and Scale Model Championships. This is a contest where judges grade a model based on the IMPS (International Plastic Modellers’ Society) guidelines.
The model is a 1:43 scale Ferrari F189 (Nigel Mansell) by Tameo which I entered in the Cars Small Open class. Amazingly, it came second!
