Expo organisers have announce two more special guests, courtesy of Biante Model Cars, for the 2015 Diecast Model Expo – James Courtney and the V8 Slueth, Aaron Noonan.
James Courtney, Holden Racing Team
James Courtney had a stella start to his driving career winning in karts and open wheelers leading him on the path to a Formula one drive with the Jaguar F1 team. A huge crash from a rear wing failure at Monza while testing, left Courtney seriously hurt. Restarting his driving career in Japan, Courtney was soon back up to speed winning in open wheelers then switching to Japanese Touring cars. An opportunity to race with HRT at Bathurst lead him back to Australia where he has raced V8 Supercars since 2006. Courtney has raced with Stone Brothers, Dick Johnson Racing where he won the 2010 Championship before switching to the Holden Racing Team. Courtney’s vibrant personatilty and have a go attitude has won him many fans and is set to push the limits for many years to come.
Aaron Noonan, TV presenter and The V8 Sleuth
Aaron Noonan is a veteran of over a decade in the Australian motorsport community. Noonan has been involved with print media and editorial roles with many of the best motorsport magazines. Calling races and presenting TV shows is a real passion for the presenter and his extensive knowledge has led him to be known as “The V8 Sleuth”. Documenting the history of all the modern V8 chassis ensures the rich history of these machines will never be lost. We are very excited to have “Noons” coming along to have some fun with a couple of larakin V8 drivers and you the attendees of the 2015 Diecast Model Expo.
