Another Retro Livery for DJR at 2014 Bathurst

For the third year in a row, Dick Johnson Racing will field a retro livery car at the Bathurst 1000. And once again, it will be modeled by Apex Replicas.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the team’s 1994 victory, the #17 Falcon driven by David Wall and Steven Johnson will be dressed in the yellow, red, and blue colours of DJR’s ’94 EB Falcon winner.

Apex was sworn to secrecy some time ago about DJRs 2014 Bathurst plans, but already have samples under development at the factory. These will be on display at Bathurst alongside the actual car. This will allow for final checks and corrections with a planned delivery of first quarter 2015.

“Our two most popular 1:18 scale models from our relatively short time in producing models under our own Apex Replicas brand have been the 2012 Tru-Blu FG Falcon (1,350 pieces) and the 2013 Greens’-Tuf FG Falcon (1,200 pieces)” Apex said in their newsletter. “We expect this one to be equally as popular, if not more so.”

Pre-orders will be essential for this item and can be placed at any authorised Apex Replicas stockist or via Apex’s website.
