Finally, here’s the fourth (and final) video about building the big 1/12 scale Tamiya kit of the 1966 Honda RA273 Formula One car.
Finally, here’s the fourth (and final) video about building the big 1/12 scale Tamiya kit of the 1966 Honda RA273 Formula One car.
I’m in America — I bought the original 1/12th Tamiya RA273 kit in 1967 and built it (clumsily — all I had was tube glue, no paints, and very few resources). I have since bought another (still the old kit, no PE) about 25 years ago. I got as far as painting the bottom piece of the engine sump and the kit still sits atop my growing stash of model car kits, including Tamiya‘s 1/12th Porsche 910, Lola T-70 Mk IIB, Lotus 49, 49B, and 72(JPS), Yardley McLaren M-23,, Brabham BT44B, Tyrrell Ford, Ferrari 312B, and Trumpeter’s “US Sportscar”(Ford GT 40 MkII), as well as a boatload of 1/24th scale kits from Tamiya, Hasegawa, Fujimi, Union, Heller/AMT, Revell, Monogram, ITC, and I can’t remember who-all. As I’m about to turn 76, I doubt if I’ll get to them all, but video and print build-up diaries like yours have rekindled my interest and provided much-needed motivation, so I’ll probably die with my fingers superglued together. Thanks for that!
Thanks for the comments Barton, I’m glad some building motivation has returned 🙂
All the best for many years of building before those fingers get stuck together permanently! Cheers, Mark.
Sorry, Lola T-70 should have been Mk. IIIB
