Photos: Model Expo 2019

I had four models on show with the Pakenham Modellers Group display at Model Expo 2019.

After adding them to the club’s display, I did a quick run around the tables and saw lots of cool and well built stuff. The photos here are just a small sample of what was on display, plus lots of trade and demo stalls around the perimeter of the venue.

Will be back in 2020!

Williams FW14B, 1:12 Tamiya with extra detail. This was a very good build.
This was pretty cool – scratchbuilt Olympic Doughnuts shop that was in Footscray
Awesome metallic finish and further detail on this Cobra
One of the best club displays was the Whittlesea Area Plastic Modellers and their ‘Topless’ theme – including busty woman with her boobs hanging out!
I had four of my race car builds on show: the small red Ferrari, white/green Lotus and blue/white 6-wheel Tyrrell (up the back) and the white Honda #11 in the front. Club theme was “Winners & Losers”
I’d never seen an MFH kit before, and wow – they have a lot of parts! Senna’s JPS Lotus.
Lots of after market parts must have been added to get this Revell Indycar looking as good as it does.
This yet to be completed Lambo is made of paper card.
Excellent extra detail in Paul Newman’s LeMans Porsche, 1:12 scale.
43rd scale competition models.
Another big scale MFH, Ronnie Peterson Lotus 78.
This model was built as a cat-away to show the inner workings of the plane. Very well executed and mirror on the base shows cut-aways underneath as well!
Very nice build of Tamiya’s Sauber LeMans winner had loads of extra detail added.
The most clean and shiny rally car I’ve ever seen!
Super rare model of a little known car – Rollout Models’ Andrea Moda F1 that Roberto Moreno somehow qualified for a Grand Prix
All these models were made up from the same kit, AMT Chev Bel Air.
Including this graffiti covered rust bucket
