A number of new announcements and updates on new product over the past week. VIDEO: Here’s a great example of modelling, but it’s not a Tamiya kit. Fully handbuilt in 1:12 scale by Henri Baigent, it has working steering and suspension and features hand-cut tread on the tyres! Amazing.
Top Gear has announced the Trax Club membership format has changed. The NSW-based company has dropped the printed quarterly “Keeping Trax” magazine and will replace the 1:64 FJ Van club model with a 1:43 FC Holden Panel Van. Organisers of the 2015 Diecast Model Expo have announced the next “exclusive Expo model” will be of Scott McLaughlin’s GRM Volvo S60 from the 2014 Australian Grand Prix meeting. Apex Replicas will produce a metal model in 1:18 scale that will have a sealed body. Only 400 will be produced. A 1:43 scale version will also be available.
